Celebrate the spooky season at the historic Moss Mansion with games of clue, ghost tours, and a Murder Mystery Dinner, culminating in the adults-only Monster Ball, 7-10 p.m. Oct. 31.
Two versions of Clue are on tap:
Booze Clue, 6-9 p.m. Oct. 18-19, is an immersive cocktail experience that combines a little bit of murder, a little bit of intrigue, and a whole lot of Clue-themed fun.
As participants sleuth their way through the house they will enjoy a series of four Clue-themed cocktails (non-alcoholic options available), a craft beer and a wickedly fun experience in the 1903 mansion during this spooky time of year. ID is required and a wristband will be issued for “fully spirited” beverage service.
Costume Clue Game, 7 p.m. Oct. 25, offers an energetic evening game of strategy and chance for up to 30 players among the Mansion’s rooms. Come early and pick a character, then get ready to find the clues and weapons that will lead to who done it – before the murderer strikes again!
Reservations are $30 and the game is recommended for age 18 and up, and people who can navigate the stairs.
The Murder Mystery Dinner is served at 6 p.m. Oct. 26, with a Roaring 20s theme. Everyone’s a player and anyone could be the murderer! Dress in costume (flappers, zoot suits, pearls, fedoras, etc.) and enjoy an evening of dinner and drinks while collecting evidence and solving the crime. Reservations are $90 per person and attendance is limited.
Finally, the Moss hosts a Monster Ball, 7-10 p.m. Oct. 31. Don capes and shine some spooky shoes for the ball of the season, with dancing, cocktails, a photobooth and more!
Bloody Marys will be ready to sip in the Vampire Lounge, while werewolves are sure to enjoy Moonchild moonshine. DJ Dan of Black-Tie Productions MT will keep the Monster Ball rocking through the night. An award for the best monster costume will be handed out at 9 p.m.Reservations and payment of $55 includes admission to the mansion and grounds and specialized cocktails and appetizers.
Finally, for those who can’t get enough thrills and chills, the mansion continues to host Ghost Tours Oct. 24 and 27-29 at 6, 7 and 8 p.m.
It’s lights out, as guests are led through the darkened home while hearing a compilation of stories and experiences had by staff and volunteers, as well as findings by multiple Montana Paranormal Society investigations.
