“Collecting Memories: Works by Frances Senska, Jessie Wilber and Friends”

May 11 - Jun 29

LT Pick

Works for this exhibit by two revered Bozeman artists were selected from Senska’s private collection, now maintained by Shelburn Murray, to reflect various time periods in each artist’s life. Multiple mediums are featured alongside historical documents and works by other local artists whose friendship and art inspired them both. Pay homage to these remarkable women and learn why they’re such important historical figures in the Gallatin Valley. Also on display through June 29: “First Generation Tenants, 1993-1995” showcases works by a dozen artists who had studios at the Emerson when it began its journey as a nonprofit art and cultural center 25 years ago. Missoula artist Mary Ann Bonjorni shares her multi-media works through June 22 in “Trophies,” an exhibit that explores physicality and solace amid a beautiful natural environment.
