Fort Peck Fine Arts Council has decided to cancel the 2020 Fort Peck Summer Theatre season after consulting with authorities regarding the recent COVID-19 cases in the area.

Ed Asner (of The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Lou Grant Show, “Elf,” and many more) returns to Montana this fall to reprise “God Help Us!” with Montana Actors’ Theatre veterans Jay Pyette and Kate Hagen. L.A. professional Mitch Levine directs this play, pulled directly from today’s headlines.
Larry (Pyette), a liberal leaning fellow, and Randi (Hagen), a conservative kind of woman, find themselves confronted by God (Asner), a wise, sarcastic, cantankerous and wildly funny character who is offended by what America’s political leaders have done to America. He has brought Randi and Larry to Purgatory for a lively debate about the issues our time. Whomever he finds more persuasive will get God’s “mighty thumb on the scale” in one or the other’s favor.
See the Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning actor in this hilarious, poignant, unifying, and thought-provoking production that made its Montana premiere in 2018 in Havre.
