Every March the Friends of the Montana Historical Society celebrate Women’s History Month by sponsoring the March Lecture Series at noon Wednesdays. Brown-bag lunches are welcome. This year’s dynamic speakers will present a diverse and unique blend of interesting information on notable women from Montana’s past, beginning March 7 when Zoe Ann Stoltz discusses “Hooverizing: Or How to Prove Your Patriotism by Cooking Without Eggs, Wheat, Sugar, Butter, Meat ” Historian Ellen Baumler offers the March 14 installment, “Like Ripples in a Pond: Mary Ronan and Her Circle of Friends”; Mary Jane Bradbury discusses “A Strong Woman: The Life of Evelyn Cameron,” March 21; and the series concludes March 28 with “On Her Own Terms: The Outfitting Adventures of Mary Faith Hoeffner” by Brad Hansen.
