Gladstone, Piikuni (Blackfeet) and Tsalagi (Cherokee), grew up in Northwest Montana on and near the Blackfeet Reservation. She graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Environmental Engineering and returned home where she began her work on food advocacy.
Gladstone also will appear on the Food Network program 'Chopped: Indigenous Inspirations,' competing with three other native chefs on Tuesday, April 21. That program airs at 10 p.m.
Gladstone is the creator of Indigikitchen, an online cooking platform, to revitalize and re-imagine Native foods. The name is a combination of the words Indigenous, Digital, and Kitchen. Gladstone also has been recognized as a Champion for Change by the Center for Native American Youth and a Dreamstarter by the Running Strong for American Indian Youth foundation.
Indigikitchen has been featured in the CBC News, the Billings Gazette, the High Country News, and others. Gladstone gave a TEDx Talk in Bozeman in 2017, as well, on " Healing from trauma through traditional foodways."
