These events support the Silver Lining Foundation, an all-breast cancer survivor organization that paddles out of Big Arm and helps empower breast cancer survivors in western Montana.
The Seventh Annual Paddle Palooza is a spectacular outrigger adventure on Flathead Lake. Incredibly exciting is having back Hawaiian legend and mentor, Kimokeo Kapahulehua, who will be leading traditional ceremony, alongside UM’s Pacific Islanders, members from the Confederated Salish and Kootenai tribes, as well as tribal communities from around the Pacific Northwest.
The healing power of water and the communal strength that arises when forging connections beyond individual boundaries is the underlying belief. The Silver Lining PaddleFest is about recognizing that every day is a gift.
