Slow View Series: “Sheila Miles: The End of Love and Other Natural Disasters”

The second installment of Missoula Art Museum's “Slow View” art appreciation series focuses on a painting by Sheila Miles, on display through Jan. 27-Feb. 24. In museums, viewers spend an average of three to 15 seconds looking at artworks. MAM’s Slow View series invites viewers to focus their attention on a selected installation, and rediscover the rewards of awareness, observation, and engagement. With each installation, MAM asks viewers to contemplate a work, and then participate in a casual, facilitated discussion about their individual experiences during Slow View Saturdays.
