The Jacob Jolliff Band

Mandolin super-picker Jacob Jolliff brings his band of top acoustic players to The Myrna Loy stage for one sensational string-band event.
Jolliff grew up in Portland, got a full-ride scholarship to Berklee School of Music, and founded the beloved New England roots band Joy Kills Sorrow, logging hundreds of shows, three albums, and thousands of hours of worldwide touring.
He finally graduated from Berklee, and promptly won the National Mandolin Championship (2012). Then he was scooped up by the legendary jamgrass group, Yonder Mountain String Band, and has collaborated and shared the stage with Darol Anger, Sam Bush, Ronnie McCoury, Jerry Douglas, Chris Thile, and David Grisman.
The Jacob Jolliff Band is a group of virtuosic acoustic pickers who play Jacob’s original instrumentals and showcase his singing and songwriting. What a great way to celebrate midsummer.
