Twenty First Annual Missoula Pet Fest

Missoula Pet Fest is a celebration of pets, people, and the bond we share. Now in its twenty first year, this free, family-friendly festival brings together dozens of rescues, shelters, vendors, and pet lovers from across the region for a day full of activities, giveaways, adoptions, treats, and tail wags all in the heart of downtown Missoula.
Free Vaccines & Microchips: The Humane Society of Western Montana will be offering free core vaccines for cats and dogs, including rabies (for pets over 12 weeks), as well as free microchipping for all pets. No appointment necessary. Bring pets on leash or in carriers. Past vaccine records are helpful, but not required.
Meet Your New Best Friend: If you’re thinking about adding a furry friend to your family or even if you’re just an animal lover you won’t want to miss the incredible lineup of adoptable pets at Pet Fest. With over 10 rescue and shelter organizations from across the region coming together in one place, this is your chance to meet dozens of dogs, cats, and even a few unique surprises looking for their forever homes.
Come early and take your time strolling through the park, meeting the amazing animals who have been given a second chance. Each rescue has their own inspiring story to share, and you’ll be able to connect with passionate volunteers and foster families who know the animals best. Whether you’re ready to adopt or just want to support the mission of these life-saving organizations, your presence truly matters.
Expect tail wags, kisses, and maybe even a love-at-first-sight moment. This is your chance to be part of something bigger to give hope, spread joy, and maybe, just maybe, find your newest family member waiting with open paws.
Bring a Bag of Pet Food! Support local animals in need by bringing unopened bags or cans of dog or cat food. Donations will be collected at the event and distributed to the participating rescues and shelters.
Pet Portraits: Stop by the Montana Magic Photography booth for a pet portrait and capture your pet’s best side.
Giveaways, Raffles & Resources: Enjoy raffles, free samples, and expert advice from pet care professionals. From training and grooming to nutrition and holistic health, you’ll find everything you need to spoil your pet.
Nail Trims & Grooming: Pamper your pup with nail trims and mobile grooming services happening on-site.
Food Trucks & Frozen Treats: Enjoy a delicious meal from the food truck lineup and cool down with local ice cream (don’t worry, there are frozen treats for your dog too!).
