Writers' Room: Coloring (Wildly) Between the Lines, Form Poetry with Marko Capoferri

Sep 23 - Oct 14

Coloring (Wildly) Between the Lines, Form Poetry with Marko Capoferri.
Instead of seeing poetic forms as rigid or restrictive, this class will explore the many exciting ways these forms are employed by looking at examples both classic and contemporary, traditional and experimental, and try composing sonnets, haiku, sestinas, and more.
Instructor: Marko Capoferri is a poet, musician, occasional journalist, and former conservation worker. He has lived and worked in eight US states, including Montana, where he has lived since 2015. He earned his MFA in poetry from the University of Montana. His work has appeared in Porter House Review, Painted Bride Quarterly, Anti-Heroin Chic, Opt West, and elsewhere.
