Three high-power acts are scheduled to perform at the Big Sky Brewing Company during the month of May. Lindsey Sterling, The Decembrists, and Ryan Adams entertain their fans in the outdoor venue, kicking off a summer-long concert series.
Stirling is one of the biggest breakthrough stories in recent years. A classically trained violinist, she has entered a futuristic world of electronic big beats and animation with over half a billion views on YouTube, chart-topping hits, and sold-out tours worldwide. Her Music Box Tour features special guests. The concert begins at 8 p.m. May 23 with the doors opening at 6:30. Tickets are $30.
The Decembrists, featuring former Missoula resident Colin Meloy as the lead singer and songwriter, perform at 8 p.m. May 24. One of Missoulians’ favorite groups is back on the road after a four-year hiatus and will highlight songs from its new album, What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World. It’s their only tour stop in Montana. Gates open at 6 p.m. at the outdoor venue. Tickets are $32.
Adams, a prolific solo artist who has performed with groups Whiskeytown and The Cardinals, takes the stage at 8 p.m. May 29. Following a hiatus from the music industry, Adams has returned to composing and performing. One of his most recent songs, “Gimme Something Good,” was nominated for Best Rock Song at the 2015 Grammys. Tickets are $33 advance or $35 the day of the show.
