Expired: Gregg Allman rambles into Missoula

7:30 p.m. June 27 at Big Sky Brewery in Missoula

Expired

The Allman Brothers Band called it quits last October, but Gregg Allman rolls on with an extensive summer 2015 tour schedule that would stagger a younger man! Missoula is the beneficiary of this tour with a June 27 date scheduled for the field at Big Sky Brewery.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is a founding member of the Allman Brothers Band, one of the biggest and most important American bands of all time, as well as a critically acclaimed solo talent. His beautiful and unique voice, stunning keyboard skills, and superlative guitar talent makes him, after 30 years, one of America’s legendary performers.  Gregg wrote many of the signature songs that the Allman Brothers Band are noted for including ‘Midnight Rider’ and ‘Whipping Post.’

Although Missoula is not lucky enough to have the Doobie Brothers performing with Gregg on this tour date, Matt Andersen is a satisfactory substitute.  The Canadian born blues artist and songwriter is a prolific performer having performed with some of the greats of rock and roll music as well as having released several albums of his own.

Tickets can be purchased on-line at www.knittingfactory.com or  www.ticketweb.com or www.bigskybrew.com, by phone at 866-468-7624, via official ticketing outlets at Rockin’ Rudy’s Records (237 Blaine Street – Missoula, MT) or the Big Sky Brewery tasting room (5417 Trumpeter Way – Missoula, MT), and at the gate on the date of the concert, if tickets are still available.  Tickets are $38 general admission with no age limit.
