Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24, for Neil Young and the Promise of the Real’s show in Missoula. “Rebel Content Tour” The legendary rocker brings his “Rebel Content Tour” to the Adams Center Oct. 1 and hits the Spokane Arena Oct. 2 (tickets on sale Aug. 21).
The Promise of the Real consists of two of Willie Nelson’s sons, Lukas Nelson (vocals/guitars) and Micah Nelson (guitar/vocals), plus Anthony Logerfo (drums), Corey McCormick (bass/vocals), and Tato Melgar (percussion).
Ranging from solo acoustic, to full-band acoustic, to raging rock jams, the ever-changing “dream set lists” feature material from Young’s new release, The Monsanto Years, which targets genetically modified foods, and Young’s entire catalogue, which spans nearly 50 years.
“Young has been sounding the alarm about environmental issues for more than four decades now. He’s warned us … That kind of honesty has been at the heart of his music. It’s the warts-and-all passion that inspires us to hang with Young down any road he wanders,” writes Rolling Stone.
“Neil’s Village” will be set up on concourse level and engage attendees in sharing issues of sustainability and action. Topics include the future of farming, ecology, GMOs, and more.
