This year marks Rockin’ the Rivers’ 15th anniversary of bringing fist-pumping guitar solos and head-banging riffs to The Bridge in the Jefferson River canyon near Three Forks.

From Aug. 7-9, the canyon rocks with music from the 1970s to today, performed by more than 30 bands on two stages.

Dee Snider, legendary lead singer of Twisted Sister, headlines Friday’s line-up. He’s joined by Quiet Riot, Jack Russell’s Great White, Autograph, Black ’n Blue, and Blue Tattoo.

Saturday night veers toward the 21st century with Theory of a Deadman headlining; Skid Row, Puddle of Mudd, Saliva, and Shaman’s Harvest also perform. Crowd favorite Hell’s Belles shakes the stage for Saturday’s midnight show.

Return to the classics on Sunday with the Little River Band, War, and Chuck Negron (formerly of Three Dog Night), Whiskey River, and Jared Stewart.

Rockin’ the Rivers started in 2001, and is still completely owned and operated by Montanans. Its reputation as a top-notch rock event has steadily grown over the years, making it a preferred stop for both artists and rock fans.

Gates open Thursday at noon, with a pre-party at 6 p.m. featuring Dellacoma, Appetite for Deception, Black Powder County and Nova Rex.

Tickets are $55 per day, $145 for a three-day pass, or $230 for a three-day pass and campsite ($307.50 for two); call 800-555-8989 or visit www.rockintherivers.com.
