The Great Falls Rotary Club’s annual Harvest Howl fundraiser promises a casual, fun-filled evening that includes dinner, local craft beer, a full service bar, 50/50 drawing, a silent auction, and live music and dancing to the southern rock sounds of 38 Special and The Bus Driver Tour.
After more than three decades together, 38 Special continues to brandish its signature sound of “muscle and melody”. Numerous Gold and Platinum albums stand in testament to the band’s endurance, with hits “Hold On Loosely,” “Rockin’ Into the Night,” “Caught Up in You,” “Fantasy Girl,” Chain Lightnin’,” and others remaining radio staples.
Guitarist/vocalist Don Barnes says, “We’re a team, and it’s always been kind of an unspoken rule that we don’t slack up, we stack up. We go out there every night to win.” It is that steely determination that lives on in the hearts of these wild-eyed Southern boys.” Guitarist/vocalist Danny Chauncey, bassist Barry Dunaway, drummer Gary Moffatt, and keyboardist/vocalist Bobby Capps complete the line-up. The Bus Driver Tour featuring Ian Thomas, Paul Lee Kupfer, and Danny Freund will open.
This shin-dig comes to Montana Expo Park’s Pacific Steel & Recycling Four Seasons Arena in Great Falls Friday, Nov. 6, 2015. Individual tickets are $50, with premium tables available. All proceeds go to the improvement, maintenance and operation of Camp Rotary in Great Falls.
“Camp is where you unload the sad and fill up on the happy,” said one camper. Camp Rotary hosts more than 800 children each year though various community organizations such as 4-H, camps for children of incarcerated parents, children in foster homes, and those that have lost a loved one, to name a few. Access to camp provides children with an excellent educational experience and for many may be the only positive experience they have that summer.
To date, Harvest Howl has raised over $100,000 for the camp. To order tickets or for more information, phone 406-761-5234 or visit www.harvesthowl.org
