With his notable lack of boundary-pushing filth and foul, comedian Brian Regan has distinguished himself as one of the premier comedians in the country, finding that perfect balance of sophisticated writing and slap-stick physicality. The “Connoisseur of Clean,” who offers humor that resonates across the generations, visits Billings Jan. 30, Bozeman Jan. 31 and Spokane Feb. 13.
This is one comedian that you can safely take the kids and the grandparents to see and not find yourself cringing and covering ears. Regan could “open for a Disney musical” says Jason Zinoman of the New York Times. He has a knack for turning those everyday occurrences, “the most mundane situations – like going to the eye doctor to get fitted for glasses, or trying to decide how many Fig Newtons to eat in one sitting – into side-splitting stand-up material.” (Peoria Journal Star)
Regan made history Sept. 26 with Comedy Central’s live broadcast of “Brian Regan: Live from Radio City Music Hall” the first-ever live broadcast of a stand-up special in Comedy Central’s history, and in May, he made his final stand-up performance on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” his 28th appearance and the most of any comic since the show moved to CBS in 1993. He also made a scene-stealing cameo in Chris Rock’s film “Top Five”, and he was seen in Seinfeld’s “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee”. Despite his recent brushes with film and television, stand-up comedy remains Regan’s focus, performing in nearly 100 cities each year and selling out venues across the continent.
“He is one of my favorite, favorite stand-up comedians.” (Jerry Seinfeld)
The spring leg of Regan’s tour will visit 38 cities in North America, including:
Alberta Bair Theater, Billings, Jan 30; Brick Breeden Fieldhouse, Bozeman, Jan 31; and Northern Quest Resort and Casino, Spokane, WA, Feb 13.
