The Yellowstone Art Museum’s 48th annual Art Auction is Saturday, March 5 at the museum, located at 401 North 27th Street in Billings. Preview works at the museum, with tours available at noon Feb. 10 and 24. Silent auction bidding and buy-it-now options are available until the event.

The annual auction is the YAM’s most significant fundraising event, generating proceeds to support exhibitions and educational programming for the entire year while offering a way to get acquainted with Montana artists.

The theme is “fire” – a challenging choice since actual fire is not allowed in the museum. New this year is flamenco jazz by Johnny Walker and flamenco dancing by Cecilia Scott. The evening also includes a silent auction, live auction and quick draw, all within the beautiful background of the museum’s spacious galleries.

Auction festivities begin at 5 p.m. with cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres; Thomas Nelson Catering provides an elegant dinner and dessert buffet.

Live auction bidding begins at 7:30 p.m. This year’s auction also includes a raffle drawing for exquisite jewelry donated by Montague’s Jewelers and an incredible Persian rug donated by Kismet Fine Rugs. Raffle tickets may be purchased separately at the museum, or online, and the ticket holder need not be present to win.

Tickets to the auction event are $95 per person advance and $105 at the door. For details, call 406-256-6804 or visit artmuseum.org.
