The Death Cab for Cutie concert that was set for September 2015 has been rescheduled for Friday, May 6, at the Adams Center, and Lively Times is giving away two free tickets (fill out the form below to enter).
The September show was postponed after group member Nick Harmer’s wife gave birth.
The Missoula show is part of the band’s international tour promoting its eighth studio album, Kintsugi. The album title is taken from the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery; it seems a fitting metaphor.
Frontman Ben Gibbard and wife Zooey Deschanel parted ways, and guitarist Chris Walla, who co-founded the band, announced he was leaving midway through the making of Kintsugi. He finished the album, but the line-up is now down to Gibbard, Harmer, and drummer Jason McGerr. The live show adds multi-instrumentalists Dave Depper and Zac Rae.
Death Cab for Cutie performs at The University of Montana’s Adams Center at 7:30 p.m. May 6. Tickets for the UM Productions concert are on sale now, and all tickets purchased for the postponed September show will be honored as well. Visit griztix.com, or call 406-243-4051 or toll free 888-666-8262.
