The Helena Symphony and Carroll College are proud to announce the return of the 22nd Annual Intrepid Credit Union Symphony Under the Stars, taking place Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 8:30 p.m. on Guadalupe Hill at Carroll College. The free community concert, one of Montana’s most anticipated summer traditions, is expected to draw more than 10,000 attendees from across the state and beyond.

This year’s theme, “Celebration!”, promises an evening filled with music, community spirit, and memorable moments. The program will honor America’s 250th birthday while also recognizing significant milestones closer to home, including the arrival of Carroll College’s new president and Helena’s newest mayor. Audiences can expect a festive atmosphere capped off by a spectacular fireworks finale sponsored by Intrepid Credit Union.

The concert will feature music from some of the most iconic artists in popular music, including Lionel Richie, James Brown, Earth, Wind & Fire, Neil Diamond, and Kool & the Gang. Returning guest vocalists Capathia Jenkins and Ryan Shaw, audience favorites from the Helena Symphony’s 2019 Aretha tribute and 2025 ICONS concert, will join the orchestra for an energetic performance designed to get audiences singing and dancing along.

“As a community-focused organization, Intrepid Credit Union is honored to continue supporting this cherished Helena tradition,” said Greg Strizich, CEO of Intrepid Credit Union. “The event brings people together through music while also supporting local businesses and helping address food insecurity in our community.”

Incoming Carroll College President Dr. Jennifer Glowienka highlighted the importance of the longstanding partnership behind the event. “For 22 years, Symphony Under the Stars has been a remarkable celebration of art, collaboration, and community,” she said. “We are proud to host this extraordinary evening and welcome neighbors, friends, and visitors to enjoy exceptional musical talent against the backdrop of Montana’s beautiful landscape.”

The event also serves a charitable purpose. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring canned food donations for Helena Food Share. Executive Director Jordan Evertz noted that the annual concert has become the organization’s largest food drive, providing critical support to families facing food insecurity while demonstrating the generosity of the Helena community.
