Red Lodge Welcomes the Arts

Red Lodge will close out summer with color, creativity and community spirit. The 47th Annual Labor Day Arts Fair returns Monday, September 7, 2026. The free event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Lions Park. Visitors will find the park beside the historic train depot at 11 W. 8th St.

The Carbon County Arts Guild & Depot Gallery presents this celebration. For nearly five decades, the fair has connected visitors with the people who create art. Therefore, guests can do more than shop. They can also meet the makers and learn about their work.

Meet Montana Artists and Artisans

Dozens of artists and artisans will fill the park with original creations. Shoppers can explore local and regional art, handcrafted gifts and decorative pieces. For example, visitors may find a treasure for their home or a thoughtful gift for someone special.

The selection reflects the wide range of art and craft inside the Depot Gallery. In addition, each purchase supports independent artists. That support helps traditions grow throughout Montana and the surrounding region.

Enjoy Music, Demonstrations and Food

The Labor Day Arts Fair offers much more than shopping. Live entertainment at the gazebo will keep the park lively throughout the day. Meanwhile, artist demonstrations on the Depot Gallery deck will offer a closer look at the creative process.

Food vendors will also serve options. As a result, families can relax, eat and enjoy an unhurried holiday outing. Admission is free, and the fair welcomes visitors of all ages.

Plan a Labor Day Getaway

Lions Park sits near downtown Red Lodge. Consequently, guests can combine the fair with local shopping, dining or sightseeing. The event also provides a perfect finale to an end-of-summer getaway.

Organizers will announce the 2026 artists, entertainers, demonstrations and food vendors closer to the event. So, check the Carbon County Arts Guild website for updates before Labor Day.

Whether you want a one-of-a-kind treasure or a festive afternoon, the fair offers plenty to enjoy. Bring family and friends, meet makers and celebrate one of Red Lodge’s favorite holiday traditions.
