“Flashdance – The Musical” brings electrifying dance to five Montana towns in late January and early February.
The 1980’s pop culture phenomenon tells the inspiring story of Alex Owens, a Pittsburgh steel mill welder by day and bar dancer by night with dreams of one day becoming a professional performer. When romance with her boss at the steel mill threatens to complicate her ambitions, Alex learns the meaning of love and its power to fuel the pursuit of her dream.
The musical’s score features hit songs from the movie, including the Academy Award-winning title song “Flashdance – What a Feeling,” and hits “Maniac,” “Gloria,” “Manhunt,” and “I Love Rock & Roll.” In addition, 16 new songs have been written for the musical with music by Robbie Roth and lyrics by Robert Cary and Roth.
