The Gypsy Theatre Guild presents The Altos, Feb. 17-26 at the Red Lion in Kalispell. Described as “like the ‘Sopranos’ only lower,” this murder-mystery dinner theater features a traditional Italian dinner and lots of audience interaction, including a vote for whodunit.
Meet the family that inspired it all. It’s Tony’s funeral (or is it?) and his wife Toffee has invited the audience to the wake. Nephew Chris advises guests to check their weapons at the door (and if you don’t have any, he has extra). Uncle Senior has a rigged dice game going, and Tony’s Ma, Nona, is well … just a little nuts. Tony’s shrink, Dr. Malaise, is giving free analysis. Father Flip isn’t sure what he’s doing!
But one thing is for sure, almost no one in The Altos seems sad that Tony is gone, and they certainly don’t seem happy once he’s discovered alive.
Single tickets are $55 or $300 for a table for six (a $5 dollar savings for each seat). All seats are “front row” as the patrons will be seated at a table facing the performance area with no other tables in front of them.
The theatre troupe recommends that Altos tickets be purchased at least one week in advance of performance night. Due to catering limitations, there will be a $10 up-charge for tickets purchased less than a week before the performance date. Tickets are available at www.gypsytheatreguild.com; please print your receipt (ticket) at home to serve proof of purchase.
Evening performances are 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays with matinees at 3 p.m. Sundays, Feb. 17-26. Additional information is available at www.gypsytheatreguild.com, on Facebook and Instagram, by email at [email protected], or by phone at 406-219-7401.
