The food court is a festival highlight featuring a delectable selection of homemade foods crafted with heart and soul. Unlike typical festival fare, MCBF’s offerings include an assortment of lovingly prepared dishes that evoke the warmth of home, from hearty savory options to indulgent sweet treats. The homemade pies are a fan favorite—each slice a testament to the culinary traditions and creativity of our local bakers.

Besides food, this festival is really all about the rich traditions of bluegrass music. Whether you’re a seasoned fan or new to the bluegrass genre, there’s plenty to enjoy as the stage comes alive with the sounds of guitars, banjos, fiddles and soulful harmonies. A diverse lineup of talented musicians, from beloved bluegrass legends to rising stars, brings three big days of live music to the stage.

The 26th annual gathering of pickers and grinners includes performances by Dalton Harper, the Edgar Loudermilk Band, High Plains Traditions, Montana Standard, Cotton Wood, and The Bluestems. Band scrambles, open stage time and ample jam sessions provide opportunities for all players to get in on the action. A workshop is also offered, and a musical instrument will be raffled off.

Festivities get underway Friday, Sept. 20, at 5pm with the food court and an open stage at 6pm. Dalton Harper takes the stage at 7:30pm, followed by the Edgar Loudermilk Band. An open jam caps the evening.

Doors and the food court open at 9am Saturday, Sept. 21, with live music performances starting at 10am with The Bluestems, followed by Cotton Wood, Montana Standard, High Plains Tradition, Edgar Loudermilk Band and Dalton Harper. Music continues until 10pm, with a band scramble and an after-hours jam closing the evening.

The Food court opens at 9am Sunday, Sept. 22, with a workshop and invocation at 10am, followed by live music until 5pm. The Instrument Raffle drawing at 5pm wraps up the festivities.
