48th Annual American Indian Council Powwow

Mar 29 - Mar 30

Free

The AIC Powwow brings together Native peoples from across the nation, establishing a time of reconnection, healing, and celebration for students, families, and communities as a whole. Incorporated within the annual powwow is the AIC Royalty Pageant. The competition names Miss Indian MSU, Miss Teen MSU Princess, Junior Miss MSU Princess, and Miss Tiny Tot MSU titles, roles filled by Native students who show great knowledge of culture and leadership qualities. The princesses ultimately represent the AIC and become role models for their communities.
Fort Peck Sioux is host drum for the 48th annual celebration. Originating from the Bad Lands of Northeast Montana, on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation, they bring good energy for dancers, singers and spectators.
