“A Christmas Carol” Radio Broadcast

Dec 6 - Dec 8

The Gypsy Theatre Guild presents a live radio broadcast recreation of Charles Dickens’ classic holiday tale, “A Christmas Carol,” at the Conrad Mansion Museum. Orson Welles and Lionel Barrymore first presented this radio show on Christmas Eve in 1939 and it is faithfully recreated at the Mansion live.
“A Christmas Carol” recounts the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, an elderly miser who is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, and later, the spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come. After their visits, Scrooge comes to terms with his miserly existence and is transformed into a kinder, gentler man.
