Abby Mouer, Botanical Prints

forestry student who works with the U.S. Forest Service during the summer shares botanical prints through March. Using the existing chemistry of leaf samples, Abby Mouer steams the plants for three hours over a campfire in the Sangre de Cristos. The color transfers are solely from the leaves themselves, without added pigment. Mouer uses Fair Trade silk and wool fabrics for her pieces.
