Ahn Trio

The Ahn Trio, Juilliard-trained Korean-American sisters known for their innovative approach to modern classical music, releases their ninth album Blue. The trio was dubbed “”classical revolutionaries”” by New York Newsday. – Pianist Lucia, violinist Angella and cellist Maria share tracks from their most personal album to date a musical diary of the sisters’ shared journey. Hanging out with Prince at Paisley Park playing “Purple Rain””; working with Pat Metheny who wrote “Yuryung” for the trio; performing “Skylife”” at President Obama’s White House; performing at TEDWomen and meeting extraordinary female leaders from around the world; collaborating with Juilliard classmate Kenji Bunch.
