the nationwide tour of the Field Museum’s special exhibition “Apsáalooke Women and Warriors,” which highlights the art and culture of the Apsáalooke people, also known as the Crow, comes to the Museum of the Rockies through Dec. 31.
The Apsáalooke people of the Northern Plains are known for their bravery, artistry, and extravagance. Celebrate the prominence of women, daring feats in battle, unparalleled horsemanship, and innovative beadwork. Alongside historical war shields and regalia, contemporary Native American art highlights how this bravery and artistry is alive today in a museum curated for the Field Museum by Nina Sanders.
