The public is invited to enjoy Baroque Music Montana: Candide’s Voltaire, an unconventional concert program combining literature and music honoring Francois Marie Arouet de Voltaire. The Billings Symphony notes Voltaire, a historic Enlightenment visionary, is “the man who inspired more operas than anyone except William Shakespeare.”
This concert’s unconventionality extends to its venue, as well. Instead of a concert hall or theater, musicians will delight concert attendees in the Yellowstone Art Museum’s Montana Gallery. A backdrop fit for contemporary art will frame this concert and round out a fusion of
artistic mediums and influences.
