Works include Weber's famed Overture to Oberon, selections from a Marschner theatre production about a misbehaving vampire, and Schubert’s suave ““Rosamunde" string quartet.
Led by Carrie Krause, musicians hail from London, Vancouver, Bozeman and New York City, performing with early bows and gut strings in a Baroque Music Montana debut of the unique stylistic conventions of the early romantic era. Drama, poetry, and pathos abound!
In addition to Friday’s concert at Cikan House, the ensemble also performs at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 11 at at the Unitarian Universalist Church.
Seating is limited; refreshments are served.
