Baroque Music Montana presents Mad Mask, exploring the rich improvisatory tradition of commedia dell'arte. Actor Mace Perlman brings a van full of masks and props to embody this ubiquitous method of acting, with musical illustrations from 17th and 18th century Naples. Enter the world of Harlequin, Scaramuccia, Vanni, and Pulcinella, with its deep influences in music, opera, and literature.
Concert takes place outdoors; backyard is accessible over uneven ground and a slope. Sun and rain protection as well as lawn seating recommended. Picnics welcome and beverages provided.
