Baroque Music Montana presents: The Thistle

The Thistle features baroque and folk music from Cape Breton, Acadia, Scotland and original tunes inspired by these traditions. Fiddler David Greenberg returns with long-time collaborator, wooden flutist and piper Chris Norman, to curate this program, with appearance by local baroque violinist, Carrie Krause. David Greenberg has recorded over 80 albums, co-authored an influential treatise on Cape Breton fiddling, and performed with many of the world's most esteemed ensembles from the Far East to New Zealand. Chris Norman specializes in the wooden flute and Scottish smallpipes and has appeared with revered ensembles from the Renaissance to rock traditions and his playing was featured on the movie Titanic.
