Beau Theige’s Custom Guitars

May 7 - Jun 21

LT Pick Free

North Dakota artist Beau Theige shares his custom guitars working instruments constructed of up-cycled materials.
In conjunction with the exhibition, Theige will be at the Guild from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Friday, June 21, to talk to guests while demonstrating his work. The closing reception is 2-4 p.m. Saturday, June 22, and includes a brief artist talk at 3 p.m.
Although Theige isn’t a guitar player he creates handmade guitars from everyday utilitarian objects, antiques, or discarded items such as cake pans, license plates, and cigar boxes. The pieces are half art and half junk, but each one makes music. A couple of pieces in the show will be available for guests to play.
