Bitterroot River Clean-up

Aug 8

Join the Bitter Root Water Forum for the seventh annual Bitterroot River Clean-Up. Volunteers are assigned stretches covering all 155 miles of the river from Sula and Painted Rocks to the confluence at the Clark Fork in Missoula, and are welcome to walk or float a stretch while picking up garbage.
Clean-up bags and gloves will be available at all Valley Fly Shops and at the Water Forum office at 178 S. 2nd St. in Hamilton during the two weeks leading up to the event (or use your own supplies).
Participants are encouraged to drop trash off from 5-8 p.m. at Anglers Roost Campground in Hamilton, and stay for a complimentary BBQ with a live band, beer, and folks who share a love of the river. Fun prizes will be awarded for the best trash at 6:30 p.m.
