Known for blending technical musicianship with heavy riffs, synthesizers, and dynamic songwriting, they emerged from the early Chicago metalcore scene and have evolved through elements of deathcore, djent, and progressive metal throughout their career. The band signed with Sumerian Records and gained recognition with releases likeThe New Reign(2007),A Higher Place(2009), andThe Discovery(2011), and have continued to push their sound with albums likeAngel or Alien(2021) andThrough Shadows(2025).
