The Montana premiere of the award-winning new documentary, Dahomey.
Filmmaker Mati Diop's documentary Dahomey follows the return of 26 royal artifacts, looted from the African kingdom of Dahomey by French colonizers, to their homeland in modern-day Benin. Premiering at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival, the film blends poetic realism with debates among Beninese students, offering a profound meditation on postcolonial belonging, memory, and cultural restitution.
