The Bozeman Doc Series and the Valley of the Flowers project present the Bozeman premiere of the critically acclaimed new documentary, “The Story of Plastic.” The film will be preceded by a reception in the Emerson lobby at 6 p.m. with food, drink and information on local efforts to reduce plastic waste. A Q&A follows the screening with director and MSU grad Deia Schlosberg.
A searing exposé, “The Story of Plastic” uncovers the ugly truth behind plastic pollution and the false solution of plastic recycling. With remarkable clarity and urgency, the film presents a cohesive timeline of how we got to our current global crisis and how the oil and gas industry has successfully manipulated the narrative around it.
“The Story of Plastic” introduces audiences to the heroes and the villains at the heart of the crisis and profiles the grassroots efforts to solve one of the world's most pressing environmental issues.
