The yearly gathering of the Apsáalooke Nation is considered the largest modern-day American Indian encampment in the U.S. with approximately 1,200 to 1,500 tipis, earning it the title of “Tipi Capital of the World.” Many cultural activities take place throughout the celebration, including parades, a powwow, a rodeo and horse races.
Tribal members from all over the United States and Canada will join the Apsáalooke, the members of the Crow Tribe of Indians, at the celebration. Organizers expect about 20,000 people to attend over three days.
Crow Fair is open to the public and non-tribal members are welcome to come and learn about the Apsáalooke culture.
