Exhibition: Look Down: A View from Above

The Livingston Center for Art and Culture is proud to host a new exhibit - Look Down: A View From Above. Look Down explores what it means to be looking from "above" in literal, emotional, metaphorical, and/or spiritual senses - and at distances from miles to millimeters. A mix of artists working in a variety of media will display their interpretations of the theme.
Nancy Kessler, co-curator for this exhibit, said the show is about perspective. “Perspective is such an integral facet of artistic expression, affecting how each viewer perceives each work. A straight-on stance will evoke a different response than an oblique view, as will looking at a subject from below or around an edge. I was intrigued by the idea of selecting a single perspective - Look Down - presenting only what is below, and leaving everything else to interpretation.
