Exhibition Opening: Expressions of Resilience: The Colors We Carry

Oct 10

Free

The Colors We Carry is an art exhibition dedicated to raising awareness for breast and ovarian cancer. This exhibition showcases a powerful collection of artwork that explores the journeys of strength, resilience, and hope, using symbolic colors of pink and teal, and imagery related to the BRCA genetic mutation.
Through art, these artists aim to create a visual dialogue about these cancers – bringing awareness, sharing stories, and honoring the individuals who are impacted by these diagnoses. Whether through abstract, figurative, or symbolic work, artists express their personal connections to the cause and to contribute to the collective healing and awareness.
This show includes painting, mixed media, fabric art, and digital art. The opening reception event will also feature a live tattooing as part of an installation collaboration, featuring tattoo artist, Mike Shaffer.
Together, creativity can spark conversations and inspire change.
