Glory is an abstract mixed-media painter who studied in the BFA Program at the University of Montana in Missoula. Calling Missoula home since 1989, she loves playing outside whether she’s mountain biking, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, hiking, or camping. She is a self-professed art materials experimenter and research nerd.
These works, to Glory, feel like stolen glimpses of a shared, but unspoken sacredness. They record the lingering embrace of a new sunrise with all the hope it brings, or a distant grove of trees that glows on a sunset horizon you are blessed to spy after a day well spent. She aims to capture the feeling of the experience of time, both in its quick flash of newness, as well as the slow scraping away of that newness that many years of aging brings to objects and humanity alike.
