Ren McCormack, a teenage boy from Chicago, and his mother move to a small town after his father abandons them. Upon arriving, Ren finds himself at odds with most of the town, including the Reverend, who has convinced the town to outlaw dancing. With the help of the Reverend’s daughter and a country hick, Ren convinces the Reverend to let the teenagers dance, and in the process helps the town to heal from a tragedy that affected them all. Kimberly Doreen Burns returns to BSP as Music Director for "Footloose"! Burns said, "I’m so grateful to be able to balance a life of performing, teaching, and now on the creative team side.
