Book Release and Signing: "Black Forest," by Laramie Dean

Frame of Mind welcomes Missoula author Laramie Dean to the gallery for a one-night book signing and release party for his debut novel, "Black Forest."
Laramie Dean was born and raised on a ranch in northeastern Montana. He is the author of several plays from Theatrefolk, including "Frankenstein Among the Dead," "Dracula," "The Gorgon Sisters," "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz," and "Finding Jo March." Currently, Dean is the theatre director at Hellgate High School in Missoula. "Black Forest" is his debut novel, published by Inkshares. Inspired by the dark labyrinthine narration of Shirley Jackson’s "Hangsaman," "Black Forest" is the story of a young man’s battle with reality as it seemingly dissolves around him, forcing him to fight a series of ever-more frightening supernatural creatures, while one may be closer to him than he thinks.
