Freedom Festival

annual patriotic event kicks off Monday with the Paint the Town Color Run at 11 a.m. (register at buttechamber.org). Chester Steele Park is home to food vendors, live music by Highlands Brass and Butte Community Band and DJs beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday, culminating in a fabulous fireworks display at dusk, launched from the base of the “Big M.” The Fourth begins with a Race for Recovery at 9:30 a.m., and the parade at 10 a.m., followed by entertainment throughout town.
