“Human Condition: The Art of Ben Steele”

revered Billings artist, who endured 41 months of starvation, dehydration, hard labor, torture, and sickness during WWII, chronicled the history of the Bataan Death March in a series of drawings. The exhibit presents the POW collection as well as other work from his prolific and varied career. MMAC also shows images of the Garden City created by local artists in “Hometown: The MMAC Permanent Collection Celebrates Missoula.” Artists include Tu Baixiong, James Dew, Walter Hook, Marilyn Bruya, and others.
