Beckman and Thompson each look at and interpret the rural landscape with very different approaches and results.
Thompson’s "Patchwork Prairies" series reworks perspective and horizon in colorful representations of rural America.
The Montana landscape inspires Beckman. His "Makoshika" series was painted en plein air from photographs taken at the state park near Glendive.
Together, these two artists provide unique interpretations of landscape, slowly revealing their peaceful message to the viewer.
