Mindful Observations will fill the Main Gallery Aug. 15-30 with paintings by Dorci Newman-Tremblay and Stephanie Rose. As artists, they each go out into the world to observe and interpret the landscape. Being mindful in that pursuit, is essential as they direct their full attention to what they see, hear, taste, smell and feel in a particular place. This focus produces complex pieces that they hope will ignite an emotional response in the viewer.
Montana Treasure is a solo show celebrating of the stunning diversity of the state as seen by artist Connie Herberg, who has lived her life on its soil. Herberg’s paintings of sweeping vistas and small wildflowers command attention with stunning colors and dynamic strokes that capture the beauty of her home state.
A virtual exhibition of work by the Montana Painters Alliance (MPA) continues through August on the center’s new website.
