MisCon 38: Science Fiction and Fantasy Convention

This 4-day celebration of fantasy, science fiction and horror welcomes authors, artists, game designers, actors, costume designers, and other professionals. Offerings include discussion panels, readings, workshops, craft demos, art exhibit, viewing film festival submissions, a costume pageant, and Merchants' Row. MisCon 38 Guests of Honor include Gaming Guest of Honor, Stan Brown; Paul Jenkins, a comic writer who has written some of the biggest characters for Marvel and DC Comics, including Spider-Man, Batman, Incredible Hulk, and Wolverine; Nebula and Stoker Award-winning writer Nina Kiriki Hoffman; illustrator Cait May; award-winning artist, fabricator, and owner of SKS Prop and Costume Supply Steven K Smith; and Gaming Guest of Honor, Jeff Grubb. Featured Professionals include Hugo and Nebula Award-winning author David Gerrold, a classic sci-fi writer that will go down in history as having created some of the most popular scripts, books and short stories in the genre including include episodes from Star Trek ("The Trouble With Tribbles" and "The Cloud Minders"), Babylon 5, Twilight Zone, Land Of The Lost, and Logan's Run; author Carol Berg; artist Jeff Sturgeon; artist and author Todd Lockwood; artist and author Jim Wright; Hollywood Special Effects Designer Dragon Dronet; and cosplayer Cosplaimee.
