Missoula Symphony Orchestra: Dynamic Duo

This concert showcases dynamic guest artists performing the Concerto for Percussion Duo, written by Missoula Symphony’s first Composer-in-Residence, Jonathan Bailey Holland. Mari Yoshinaga and Garrett Arney formed a duo to bring exciting percussion repertoire to audiences through expansion of new works, education and powerful performances.
This third Masterworks concert also features Pulitzer and Grammy award-winning composer, Jennifer Higdon, who is known for her beautiful American sound. Higdon’s energetic Fanfare Ritmico opens the concert. The concert finishes in grand style with Mahler’s magnificent First Symphony, “Titan.”
