Montana Rep: “War of the Worlds”

Since when does art make people run screaming into the streets? Montana Repertory Theatre celebrates its 52nd year of touring American theatre classics across Montana. This year: a reach-back to the original script of “War of the Worlds,” the 1938 radio play by Orson Welles that triggered nationwide panic.
Part radio play, part theatrical experience (with onstage sound effects), this re-imagining of the classic piece explores what, and how, we believe. Look around today, 82 years later: Whar’s fake news? What’s performance? What happens when we discover what we thought was true just isn’t?
